Roberto, alias ""Touch"" is a teenager when he commits his crimes. He grows up in prison. It is heroin that pushed Ryan to theft and violence. Their destinies are closely linked to that of the American ghetto of Newark, and recently to that of Brother François with whom they have become friends. This young French engineer and artist left everything to become a Franciscan friar and live poor among the poor.

Inspired by Pope Francis' Encyclical, Laudato Si', an unlikely group of characters come together to address the many climate-related challenges of our day. Focusing on advancing Carbon Dioxide Removal as an essential focus of climate solutions while bridging the left-right divide on climate action, this group is motivated by hope and committed to create sustained, broad climate impact that would not have happened otherwise. Salt + Light Media's Answering the Cry of the Earth features Carbon Removal stories of success and addresses the need to mobilize around environmental action. It shows that economic and environmental success go hand-in-hand and that everyone, no matter their ideology has a seat at the table of ongoing dialogue concerning all things climate and motivates everyone in their efforts to care for our common home.
